Meyer Swed

Rabbi Meyer Swed, born and raised in Deal NJ, has illustrious Syrian roots. A descendant of Rabbi Moshe Swed, head of the Syrian community in Aleppo and publisher of significant Jewish texts, Rabbi Meyer holds strong to the traditions of the past.

Studying under renowned rabbis such as Rav Moshe Dweck and Rav Yaakov Peretz, he has delved deeply into various topics of practical halacha including safrus and shechita. 

Rabbi Meyer teaches our evening beginner Mishnayos group, with his primary emphasis being to nurture the desire to learn in his students. With dynamism, energy, and countless reviews, he  develops engagement and fulfillment in his students’ studies. 

Rabbi Meyer actively engages with the community by hosting Shabbat and holiday meals, and focuses on developing strong personal connections.
